Climate Change Coaching

Ināia tonu nei – the time is now

“Aotearoa has committed to reaching net zero emissions of long-lived greenhouse gases by 2050 and reducing biogenic methane emissions between 24-47% by 2050. Transformational and lasting change is both necessary and possible. The technology and the tools Aotearoa needs to reach its climate targets exist today. Our evidence shows climate action is affordable.

Climate change will impact your business

James Shaw, Minister for Climate Change, recently stated:

“Climate change is a complex and interdependent challenge, and although we have done more in the last five years than in the last 30 years, we need more momentum to create a productive, inclusive, and sustainable economy.”

Meaningful leadership action is the key to adapting to climate change

Climate leadership to tackle climate change as a business can be overwhelming and it is challenging to make significant organisational change. In fact, it is all too easy to get distracted by the day to day demands and even to feel climate anxiety. If you are reading this, you are probably aware of the long-term negative impacts of our current ways of living and know the urgent need for us to lower emissions. This challenge requires change at many levels: individual, organisational and systemic.

‘Climate change (presents) a whole series of wicked problems – immediate, urgent, and long-term intergenerational.’

Mike Burrell, Executive Director, Sustainable Business Council

Climate Change Coaching supports leaders

If you struggle to answer yes to the questions below then contact me to discuss Climate Change Coaching:

Climate Change Coaching will help you to make sense of the emotional and practical impact that climate change has on you, your organisation and your community. It will inspire you to lead meaningful climate action.

David works with evidence-based approaches to change that incorporates an understanding of what is required for people to be intrinsically motivated to change. These approaches recognise that human behaviour is complex. As such, no simple, linear approach will guarantee success. Instead, an adaptive approach is required.

Working with David as your Climate Change Coach will:

‘Climate change: it’s real, it’s here, it’s increasing. Climate change impacts don’t happen in isolation: they are non-linear, complex and costly.’

Adrian Orr, Governor, Reserve Bank of New Zealand
